Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the error of a car ground speed due to the change in transmission frequency in a Dappler type car ground speed detection device including a smoothing means.
CONSTITUTION: The reflection wave from a road surface of a wave transmitted from a transmitter 10 is received by a receiver 16. Transmission frequency is changed by a transmission frequency modification device 12 so that the reception sensitivity of the received wave increases. The reception wave is sent to a mixer 24 via an amplifier 18, etc., and is mixed with a transmission wave, thus obtaining Doppler frequency. The obtained Doppler frequency is processed by a Doppler frequency compensation program and a compensation condition modification program by a Doppler frequency processor 28 and is sent to a car ground speed processor 30 for performing car ground speed operation. The compensation condition modification program adds frequency modification content to the Doppler frequency after compensation when the transmission frequency is changed, thus rapidly changing the Doppler frequency according to the modification of the transmission frequency.
