Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form an excellent dot image having no gradation jump.
CONSTITUTION: Dot gradation data (dot area rate) on desired output conditions such as an output sensitive material, exposure conditions, print conditions, a dot kind, the number of lines, and an angle are found in advance. Gradation correction data are generated from the dot area rate and stored in a gradation correction data storage part 48. After a dot gradation correction part 44 corrects desired gradation image data on the basis of the gradation correction data, a dot binarization processing part 46 converts the data into dot image data, from which a dot image is generated.
