Title:
DOUBLE BELT PRESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5861998
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
A double-belt press is described with roller discharge, with two circulating belt runs which receive the material to be pressed between them, with pressing bodies which are arranged above and below the mutually facing belt sections of both runs and to which there are fastened pressure plates, and with pressing rollers, which are fixedly mounted on the pressure plates, for transmission of the pressure generated by the pressing bodies to the material to be pressed. According to the invention, the pressure plates are at least partly composed of supporting strips which are arranged alongside one another, extend transversely to the running direction of the belt, can be released individually and in which the pressure rollers are mounted. Because the supporting strips, which extend transversely to the running direction of the belt, are individually replaceable, the press can be repaired more easily. As the pressure rollers are held in the supporting strips, very good heat transmission is ensured when the material to be pressed has to be heated, so that a small amount of energy is sufficient to heat the material to be pressed. In a preferred embodiment, the pressure plates are formed entirely from the supporting strips, which are then screwed to the pressing body. According to a further very advantageous embodiment, the spindles of the pressure rollers are provided with channels through which heating and/or cooling medium can flow, or are directly designed as electric heating elements.
