Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable movement of grease inside a bottomed cylindrical part of a pin to reduce the residual grease in a double Cardan constant velocity joint.
SOLUTION: This double Cardan constant velocity joint has a spherical seat 8 fitted in the inner circumference of a tubular sleeve 6 of a socket yoke 1; a spherical body 9 slidingly contacting with the spherical seat 8, rotatably and axially slidably supported by the pin 7 of a pin yoke 2; a spring reception member 16 radially extending inward formed in the spherical body 9 on the opening end part side of the bottomed cylindrical part 10 formed in the pin 7; and a spring 11 disposed between the bottom of the cylindrical part 10 of the pin 7 and the spring reception part 16, energizing the spherical body 9 such that the spherical body 9 closely contacts with the spherical seat 8 at any time. Plural circumferential positions of the spring reception member 16 are formed with grease flow passages 17 extending outward from the inside of the internal diameter face of the cylindrical part 10.
