In this double cloth, a back tissue comprising a proper woven tissue and a front tissue comprising a transparent woven tissue are vertically superposed. The back tissue and the front tissue are simultaneously woven in a state that many gold threads are arranged at spaces each other in parallel to wefts between the back tissue and the front tissue. The back tissue and the front tissue are partially woven with each other together with the gold threads to form patters (a) and non-patterned portions (b). The non-patterned portions (b) have bag-like shapes without being brought into contact with each other. In the bag-like portion (b), the warps and the wefts constituting the front tissue forms a naturally twisted pattern, in which the gold threads can be looked through the front tissue.
