Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that double deck elevators having well bucket type floor interval adjustment device tend to be difficult to grasp positions of cars because the movement directions of the upper car and the lower car do not become constant depending on the number of boarding people when the weights of the upper and lower cars are balanced with the upper car set to be 50% of the rating loading mass and the lower car set to be 50% of the rating loading mass, if a brake apparatus of the drive device for the floor interval adjustment fails.SOLUTION: The weight of that of the upper car plus the rating loading mass of the upper car is set to be equal to or smaller than the weight of lower car. If a failure occurs, the lower car moves downward, and the upper car moves upward. The lower car comes in contact with a buffer for the lower car, and the upper and lower cars stop, allowing grasp of positions of the cars.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
