Abstract:
To provide a double feeding sensing device capable of sensing a double feeding of sheets accurately.
The double feeding sensing device is configured so that a light emission part 102 and a light receiving part 103 are installed in positions opposite to a clear band 101a and slit members 104 and 105 with the width made approximately equal to or below the margin between a MICR letter and its following one are provided between the light emission part 102 and the light receiving part 103 so as to allow determining that a check 101 under transport is in double feeding in case the condition where the output of light reception has attained the double feeding sensing level continues for the prescribed length or more.
