Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain double layer glass which may be produced at a low cost in a factory, may be built into buildings at a low cost and eliminates the possibility of the shearing breakage of secondary seals by embedding specific holder receivers into the packing parts of the sealing materials for the structure of the double layer glass.
SOLUTION: Two sheets of sheet glass 2a, 2b are arranged apart from each other via spacers 4 disposed in the peripheral parts thereof and an air layer 3 is formed between two sheets of such sheet glass 2a and 2b. The sealing materials 7 for the structure are packed and sealed on the glass plate end edge sides of the spacers 4. The holder receivers 8a made of resins are embedded into the packing parts of the sealing materials 7 for the structure. The holder receivers 8a have groove parts 9 having an approximately U shape in section. The groove parts 9 have inner wall surfaces 25 and outer wall surfaces 26 and the apertures of the groove parts 9 are exposed. The inner wall surfaces 25 and outer wall surfaces 26 are exposed in parallel on the main surface of the sheet glass 2a, 2b.
