Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow for even revolutional speed difference between left and right rolling bodies to prevent brakage by holding rolling bodies in a double row ball bearing in separate holders respectively and constituting at least one of the rolling bodies to be divided circumferentially. CONSTITUTION:In a double row ball bearing wherein rolling bodied 11, 12 respectively held in comb-shaped holders 9, 10 are arranged between an inner ring 7 formed on the outer diameter surface with double row track surfaces 13, 14 and an outer ring 8 formed on the inner diameter surface with double row track surfaces 15, 16, the holder 9 is divided into two to butt a pair of approximately semicircular holding members 17, 17 against each other. The respective holding members 17 are provided with a plurality of pockets 19 holding rolling bodies at equal intervals and opened axilally. Also the holding member 10 is formed of an integral annular holding member 21 and has pockets 22 opened in the same way. However, the pocket 22 is provided in the inlet portion with claws 23 which are elastically transformed to permit the rolling body 12 to fit in the pocket 22.
