Abstract:
To provide a double row self-aligning roller bearing capable of preventing frictional wear on a lubrication surface even in a case of contacting another member under a condition with poor lubrication and slippage, and excellent in long-term durability, and a spindle support device for wind power generation including the double row self-aligning roller bearing.SOLUTION: A double row self-aligning roller bearing 5 is a structural membrane comprising: an underlayer in which a hard film 18 is formed directly on the slide contact surface of at least one bearing member selected from an inner ring 11, an outer ring 12, and rollers 13a and 13b; a mixed layer mainly composed of WC and DLC, which is formed on the underlayer; a surface layer mainly composed of DLC, which is formed on the mixed layer, wherein the hard film 18 is used under the condition of sliding contact with other bearing members with boundary lubrication, and a hydrogen content in the mixed layer is less than 10 atom%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
