To prepare a double-sided adhesive tape substantially free from a metal ion, permitting easy positioning when an abrasive material is attached in the presence of an abrasive liquid and cleaning water, firmly adhered to a surface plate, not suffering from deterioration in fixing properties even when exposed to the abrasive liquid during abrasion, and easily removable after the end of abrasion.
The double-sided adhesive tape comprises a substrate formed with self-adhesive layers on both sides thereof, where the self-adhesive layer on at least one surface is constituted of a self-adhesive mainly composed of a polyurethane-based polymer obtained by crosslinking a polyol polyurethane compound with a polyfunctional isocyanate compound. By gluing the self-adhesive layer, mainly composed of the polyurethane-based polymer, of the double- sided adhesive tape to the surface plate of an abrasion apparatus and the other self-adhesive layer of the double-sided adhesive tape to the abrasive material, the abrasive material can be fixed to the surface plate of the abrasive apparatus.
