Abstract:
To solve a problem of display quality that a background may be seen through a display screen or a privacy problem that an image displayed on the opposite side to an observing screen may be looked by third persons when a double-sided display apparatus is constituted of one double-sided display panel.
A scatter control type panel 10 is arranged in the vicinity of the operation mode side of an at least semitransparent liquid crystal display panel 1 which is not a main screen. In the control of voltage to be applied to the scatter control type panel 10, the scatter control type panel 10 is turned to a scattered state to turn a sub-screen side to white display. Since external light also is scattered, the background is not seen through.
