PURPOSE: To improve an adhesive property and oxidation resistance and to obviate the generation of warpage in a substrate by consisting the substrate of a copolymer of ethylene and specific cyclic olefin and assigning the components of the enhancement film of a protective film.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st magneto-optical recording medium A laminated with the enhancement film 3a, a magneto-optical recording film 4a and a reflecting layer 5a in this order on the substrate 2a and a 2nd magneto-optical recording medium B laminated similarly with the enhancement film 3b, the magneto-optical recording film 4b and the reflecting layer 5b in this order on the substrate 2b are disposed to face each other and are laminated by an adhesive agent layer 6. The substrate is formed of the cyclic olefin random copolymer consisting of the copolymer of the ethylene and the cyclic olefin expressed by formula I. The enhancement film is composed of Si3N4, SiNx (0<x<4/3), AlN, ZnSe, ZnS, Si or CdS. In the formula I, R1 to R12 respectively denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom or hydrocarbon group. The excellent adhesive property is obtd. in this way and the excellent oxidation resistance and magneto- optical recording characteristics and the long-term stability thereof are obtd.
