To provide a center hanging type double swinging hinge device unnecessitating a large chamfering or a curve-shaped processing in the door tale face corner of a door and having no interference between the corner and the inside face of the stile even in a setting in which the clearance between the stile inside face and the door tailis very narrow.

The hinge device is provided with a door side plate equipped with a substantially V-letter shaped elongation hole and a door side axis and a frame side plate equipped with a straight line elongation hole and a frame side axis to superpose them by inserting both axes into both elongation holes. The substantially V-letter shaped elongation hole is symmetrically formed with respect to the center line formed of an oblique part spreading to two directions from V-letter top and the center line fomed of an arc part and the straight line elongation hole is disposed laterally on the center line and further, the frame side axis is provided at the door front side. In closing the door, the frame side axis positions at the V-letter top and the frame side axis positions at the nearest hanging side of the straight elongation hole. When opened, the oblique part moves while being regulated and at the same time, the door side axis moves the straight elongation hole to the door front side and the rotating motion is obtained while the door escapes to the door front side to avoid interference of the stile inside face and the door tail face corner.
