Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double wheel caster having a simple configuration and capable of improving reliability, braking force of a wheel, and turn lock force.
SOLUTION: This double wheel caster has a yoke part supporting right and left wheels and provided with a virtical shaft turnably to perform wheel braking and turn lock simultaneously by operation of an operation lever. A turn lock plate sliding so as to engage with and disengage from an engaging part for the virtical shaft provided in a lower part of the vertical shaft is provided. An operation member having a wheel braking piece which is energized in the direction of wheel braking and whose both side protruding parts are fitted in and disengaged from an engaging receive part for wheel formed at the inner periphery of each wheel on one side and a link piece hooked in the turn lock plate on the other side is pivoted to the yoke part at the halfway position of the operation member. The link piece is hooked in the turn lock plate in the interlocking relationship. When the wheel braking piece is displaced to a braking position of the wheel, the turn lock plate is engaged with the engaging part for the vertical shaft due to the displacement of the link piece.
