Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a double-wrap with increased strength properties of brake band in action and reaction areas by eliminating necessity of excess heating of a band member via eliminating loose parts such as a rivet and welding of a bracket member.
CONSTITUTION: This is an improved double-wrap brake band in which a bracket member 16 comprising an action bracket 20, reaction bracket 22, and connector bracket 24 is fixed on three almost parallel bands 12A-12C which are equipped with plural slots 36 in a prescribed direction designed so as to accept projecting tabs extended from the bracket member 16. Tabs act to retain bracket members to bands 12A-12C after fixing.
