Title:
DOUBLY TWISTED YARN FOR FOIL WOVEN OR KNITTED FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2739302
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a doubly twisted yarn for a foil-woven or knitted fabric having a characteristic luster and a good touch by disposing synthetic resin films on the front and rear surfaces of a metal layer, cutting the obtained flat foil, intermittently twisting the obtained flat foil yarns, and further twisting a plurality of the intermittently twisted foil yarns.
CONSTITUTION: A thin silver foil is transferred to the surface of a polyester film through a polyurethane adhesive, and a polyester film is further laminated to the surface of the transferred fine silver foil through the same adhesive, and the obtained laminate having a thickness of 7-19μm, preferably 14-18μm, is cut into flat foil fibers having a width of 0.2-0.5mm, preferably 0.3-0.4mm. The flat foil fibers (flat fibers) are intermittently subjected to a twisting treatment of 300-500 twists/m so that 2-6cm twisted parts exist in an interval of 26cm, and subsequently thermally set. A plurality of the obtained deformed foil fibers are paralleled and subsequently subjected to a twisting of 100-500 twists/m to obtain the doubled yarn.
