Title:
DOWN-FILLED QUILT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3215376
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a heat reserving property and resilience restoring power after pressurization of a down quilt, to eliminate an animal odor and to prevent decomposition along use or adhesion of insects by mixing granular/linear floating material containing antibacterial and deodorant agents with down filled in as stuffing of the down quilt.
SOLUTION: When granular/linear floating material containing antibacterial and deodorant agents is mixed with down-filled into a down quilt as its stuffing, an excellent heat reserving property and resilience restoring power are provided, while antibacterial and deodorant effects are provided. For the floating material, very fine grain made of foamed polystyrene and provided with a diameter of 0.5-2.0 mm or fine synthetic fiber with a fineness of 10 denier or less is used. Fine grain type foamed polystyrene moldings are engaged with the filament of down so as to remain in down without being separated from the down when they are dispersed in the down, so that a heat retaining property of the down is assisted. Distortion due to compression is restored by its resilience, so that deterioration of the heat retaining property accompanying increase of density due to compression can be restored.
