PURPOSE: To improve the utilization value of the both bearing type reel for fishing by disposing the second drag mechanism for adding a fine brake to a spool so as to fit to a waiting fishing, in addition to the ordinary drag mechanism of the spool.

CONSTITUTION: The first drag mechanism A is formed by projectedly disposing a fixed support shaft 17 to the frame main body 4 of a both bearing type reel, rotatably fitting a cylindrical shaft 19 having a reverse rotation-stoppable ratchet onto the fixed support shaft 17, and fitting a brake gear 21 engaged with the gear 16 of the handle shaft 9 and braked with a friction plate 20 onto the outer periphery of the cylindrical shaft 19. The second drag mechanism B for finely braking the cylindrical shaft 19 in a reversely rotatable state is disposed on the outer ends of the cylindrical shaft 19 and the fixed support shaft 17 is disposed. Thereby, the cylindrical shaft 19 is switched into the reverse rotation- stopped state or the reversely rotatable state by the presence or absence of the reverse rotation stopping state of the ratchet 18, and the spool can be switched into the ordinary braking state or into a fine braking state fit to a waiting fishing.
