PURPOSE: To provide a drain pipe having a pipe body integrally incorporated at one cut-out end thereof with an insertion port, by embedding a reinforcing wire in the other end part of the pipe so as to reduce the diameter of the pipe at that part, and by incorporating the insertion port formed at its outer periphery with spiral beads, integrally with the pipe.

CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing wire 13 is embedded over a predetermined length in one end part of a pipe body 1 without interposing a heat insulator 12 therebetween so that the diameter of the pipe body 1 is decreased by a value corresponding to the thickness of the insulator 12. Further, an insertion port 2 formed at its outer periphery with a spiral bead 4 is integrally incorporated with the pipe body 1, and the insulator 12 exposed from the other end cut-out 3 of the pipe body 1 is covered with inner and outer peripheral bands 11. Since the reinforcing wire 13 is embedded in the insertion port 12, the strength thereof is enhanced so as to expect satisfactory coupling. Further, since the embedded reinforcing wire 13 suitably serves as a screw thread, the insertion port 2 can be screwed into the pipe body 1 so as to further ensure the coupling.
