PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of vibration and noise caused by hammering against water, when water is pumped up by a drain pump formed out of only single or plural paddles for an air-conditioning equipment for discharging moisture elimination or a condensed dew water.
SOLUTION: This drain pump is equipped with a runner boss 15, housed in both a funnel shaped lower casing 11 and an upper casing 10 fitted to the aforesaid lower casing so as to be freely rotatable, and with a runner in which a thick disc shaped runner disc 16 and a swirl vane underneath the runner disc comprise three triangular blades disposed at equal intervals in a direct cutting plane over the extended tangential line of the vertical axial core of the runner boss integrally formed up. Flow passages 18 in a reverse split groove shape each formed in a radial shape from the shaft center base part of a swirl vane 17, is provided over the lower surface of the runner disc so as to communicate and open toward the outer circumference while a ceiling portion is left as is at the upper surface side of the runner disc. At the same time, a ventilation path 18 opened to the upper surface of the runner disc close to the runner boss from the flow passages is bored therein, and a drive shaft 2 mounted to the outer side armature 3 of a DC brushless motor 1, is inserted into the runner boss to be fixed thereto.
