Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain valve drive unit with clutch operation mechanism that implements an opening and closing operation of the drain valve in conjunction with a clutch operation that has a simplified composition and reduced load on a motor.SOLUTION: A rotating cam body has a surface to which a clutch lever for a clutch operation slidably contacts, an eccentric shaft with which a connecting shaft for opening and closing a drain valve engages, and an eccentric cam on the eccentric shaft. A frame body has a long groove in which the eccentric shaft slidably contacts and engages with the connecting shaft. Relating to a circular orbit of the eccentric cam drawn by rotation of the rotating cam body, the frame body has a void forming a non-contact section and a contacting rib forming a contact section between the eccentric cam and the frame body. The drain valve drain unit has a mechanism to open and close the drain valve by rotation of the rotating cam body through the connecting shaft, which drives a clutch operation and engages with a valve body of the drain valve by reciprocating the eccentric shaft between a top dead point to close the drain valve and a bottom dead point to open the drain valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
