Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact drain valve opening and closing device capable of preventing intrusion of backward flowing water into the inside of a case body storing a release wire, thereby preventing the reduction of operation performance, and simplifying assembly.
SOLUTION: A rack 75 reciprocates through forward and reverse rotation of a pinion 71 using an electric motor 6 as a driving source. A magnet 310 is attached to the rack 75. The electric motor 6 and a magnet position detection sensor 320 are stored in a hollow case 1. The hollow case 1 is divided into a case body 2 and a cover 3 to seal a matching section 12 of both of them by a first seal material 41 in a watertight condition. A clearance between a rotary shaft 72 of the pinion 71 and a hole wall face of an insertion hole 28 of the rotary shaft 72 is blocked by a second seal material 45 in a watertight manner. Flowing-out of backward flowing water is prevented by a seal piece 42 extending from the first seal material 41.
