PURPOSE: To prevent generation of a water stop failure by preventing surely the accumulation of a detergent portion contained in a washing liquid in a drain tube so as not to enter a lump of the detergent portion into a seal part between a water stop valve and a valve case.

CONSTITUTION: In the draining device of the washing machine constituted of a valve case 2 in which a water stop valve 2a is contained and a roughly L- shaped drain tube 1 for connecting the valve case 2 to a bottom part of a washing tank, a corner part 1a of the drain tube 1 is formed in a gentle curved surface shape, and a duct line for reaching the valve case 2 from the corner part 1a is formed in an inclined path 1b inclined downward toward the valve case 2.
