To provide a draining pump with high safety by preventing a conductive output shaft of an electric motor from coming into contact with water, in a draining pump disposed in an air-conditioning machine.

A drain pump includes a motor 10, a rotary impeller 200 connected to an output shaft 12 of the motor 10, a case body 50 having a pump chamber for accommodating the rotary impeller 200, a lid member 30 for covering an opening portion of the pump chamber 52, and a deflector plate 15 provided between the lid member 30 and the motor 10. A peripheral groove 212 is provided at the end of the motor 10 side of a shaft portion 210, and the deflector plate 15 is press fitted into the groove 212 in closely contact state to be assembled to it. Accordingly, the conductive output shaft 12 is never directly splashed with drained water.
