To provide a technology capable of forming a boss part thicker than a dehisced portion while utilizing the dehiscing work capable of preventing any breakage by suppressing the plastic deformation in a drawing apparatus and a drawing method.
This invention relates to the drawing apparatus 1 provided with: a mandrel 4 for mounting a base stock W on the distal end of a spindle; a chuck bar 3a for pressing the base stock W against the mandrel 4 at the position facing the spindle; and a roller for executing the drawing work on the base stock W. The drawing apparatus 1 includes: a dehiscing roller R1 as a roller which is moved in the inner-radial direction of the spindle to execute the dehiscing work of the base stock W from an outer circumferential part W1 of the base stock W; a forming roller R2 for forming a boss part B by pressing the dehisced portion W2 subjected to the dehiscing work against the chuck bar 3a; and a regulating means 3b for regulating the movement of the distal end W4 of the dehisced portion W2 in the axial direction of the spindle 2 during the forming by the forming roller R2.
