First and second nozzle units having a plurality of nozzles for discharging droplets face a drawing target retained by a retention mechanism. A shift mechanism shifts the first and second nozzle units relatively to the drawing target in mutually intersected first and second directions. A control device controls the nozzle units and the shift mechanism. Each nozzle of the first and second nozzle units is disposed so as to land the droplets at points of impact arranged at equal intervals in the second direction. The first and second nozzle units are arranged apart from each other in the second direction. Control by the control device causes an interval adjustment mechanism to change the interval between the first and second nozzle units.
