Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and automatically recognize dimensional numerical value from a drawing with dimensional information. SOLUTION: The picture of a drawing is read and its image picture information inputted. Each extention line within the inputted picture information is extracted to search dimension lines existing between the extracted extension lines to search which side area of the extracted dimensional line the character exists on. Then, character recognizing processing is executed to an area near the dimensional line on the side judged to have the character, and between the dimension lines to recognize the dimensional numerical value.
