PURPOSE: To provide a drawing-in machine capable of making each warp yarn pass through a heald hole and between dents by utilizing an air guide equipped with a yarn-discharge slit and subsequently discharging the warp yarn from the inside of the air guide without fail.

CONSTITUTION: In a drawing-in machine equipped with an air guide 58 existing between a heald hole (ha) of a held (H) and a gap between dents (r) of a reed (R), with an air passage 61 formed in the air guide 58 and with a yarn-discharge slit 62 communicated to the whole lower part of the air passage 61 and opened to the downward of the air guide 58 and capable of supplying a warp yarn (T) together with air through the heald hole (ha) toward the inlet of the air passage 61 and making the warp yarn (T) pass through the heald hole (ha) of the heald (H) and through the gap between the dents (r) of the reed (R), this machine is also equipped with sensors 108 and 109 for detecting that the warp yarn (T) is allowed to pass through, with an air cylinder for lowering the heald (H) and with a controller for controlling to drive the air cylinder based on a detection signal from the sensors 108 and 109.
