PURPOSE: To provide a drawing-in machine capable of surely separating a heald without attaching a special device for heald separation to the heald, etc.

CONSTITUTION: For taking out the forefront heald (H1) from a group (G) of healds before drawing-in of warp yarns, this drawing-in machine is equipped with a nozzle block 34 having a suction hole 35 for sucking the air from the side of a group (G) of healds opposite to the forefront heald (H1) in the group (G) of healds, with an air-cylinder 28 for moving the nozzle block 34 from a position facing to the forefront heald (H) in the group (G) of healds to a position for taking refuge therefrom and with separation knives 23 and 27 capable of insertion into a space (S) formed by sucking the forefront heald (H) through the nozzle block 34 between the forefront heald (H) and the second forefront heald (H). According to this constitution, separation from the group of healds can be surely carried out without injury to the heald and without requirement for attaching a special device to the heald.
