In the drawing method, an image is drawn by selectively ejecting a functional liquid in dots from a liquid ejection head 6 having a nozzle line 11 while the head 6 is relatively moved in the main scanning direction with respect to a work W. The method includes a work rotating process to relatively rotate the work W by a certain angle with respect to the liquid ejection head 6 for the drawing region on the work W composed of lines crossing with the main scanning direction so that the extended direction of the drawing region is aligned to be parallel to the main scanning direction, and a drawing process to draw the image in the drawing region after the work rotating process.
