To propose a dredged sediment transporting method for transporting dredged sediment by using simple facilities without requiring lifting operation.
Sediment scooped from the bottom of a dam at a dam sediment dredged location 4 is charged into a hopper 21 of a pontoon 22 hung from a main cable 13 awaiting in a floating state on a dam lake surface. Then the pontoon 22 is towed from the sediment dredged location 4 to a sediment dumping location 5 by a transversely traveling cable 30. After the sediment in the hopper 21 is dumped at the sediment dumping location 5, the pontoon 22 on which the vacant hopper 21 is loaded is returned to the sediment dredged location 4 again by the transversely traveling cable 30. These procedures are repeatedly carried out and the sediment deposited at an intake port is disposed of. The hopper 21 is only towed on the dam lake surface by the pontoon 22, and therefore the lifting work of the hopper 21 filled with a load is dispensed with, thus enabling the transportation of the dredged sediment by using extremely simpler facilities compared with a cable crane etc.
