Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a dressing accuracy, by detecting the vibration or sound generated with the contact of a rotating grinding wheel and dresser, and discriminating the dressing state of the grinding wheel and the degree thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A rotating grinding wheel 8 is subjected to dressing, by relatively approaching this grinding wheel 8 to a dresser 4 and grinding the surface of the rotating grinding wheel 8 by the dresser 4. In this case, the vibration or sound generated by the contact of the rotating grinding wheel 4 and dresser 4 is detected by a sensor S, and the dressing state of the grinding wheel 8 is discriminated from this detected vibration or sound.
