To provide a dried singulated crosslinked cellulose pulp fiber product, to provide an apparatus for forming a singulated crosslinked dried fiber, and to provide a method for forming the same.
In this process, a feed pulp containing a crosslinking agent is fed into a jet drier 20. The jet drier singulates and dries the feed pulp. The singulated dried fiber is collected from the jet drier. Further, the feed pulp is preferably treated with a treatment substance. The jet drier is kept at a negative pressure. The produced fiber has a low knot count and a low fine fiber count, and is improved in kink, curl and twist. The apparatus for forming the fiber has a pretreatment station, a pulp feed device 60, and/or a fine separation station 100, wherein the pretreatment station supplies the treatment substance, the pulp feed device 60 is designed for the pulp, or for the pulp and a foamy suspension, and the fine separation station 100 has a vacuum conveyor.
