Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drier felt having air permeability regulated so as to flat the water-content profile of paper in the width direction at a drier part in a paper making machine. SOLUTION: This drier felt 1 for papermaking, obtained by needle-punching a synthetic fiber web 2 on a base fabric 5 obtained by weaving has nonwoven fabrics 3 and 4 for regulating air permeability at both edge sides of the base fabric 5 laminated on the front or back surface of the base fabric 5, and needle- punched with the synthetic fiber web 2 for forming a felt layer to integrate the nonwoven fabrics 3 and 4 with the base fabric 5 and to provide the objective drier felt 1 for the papermaking with regulated air permeability in the width direction.
