Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desiccant using coated caustic lime grains which can increase options of materials for coating a surface of granular caustic lime for preventing rapid heat evolution and high temperature heat generation of the granular caustic lime, and in addition, which can further reliably prevent rapid heat evolution and high temperature heat generation of the coated caustic lime grains, for improving safety, and improving performance as a desiccant.SOLUTION: A desiccant is formed by blending a water absorptive powder of clay mineral such as bentonite, to coated caustic lime grains obtained by coating a surface of granular caustic lime with higher alcohol or higher fatty acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
