To provide a drill bit or milling tool having a large helical angle to provide excellent transportation of materials and an ideal cutting rate, and also to provide a manufacturing method therefor.
The drill bit or milling tool has a shaft 1 and a drill part 2. The drill part 2 has a drill groove 3 extending in a spiral around the drill part 2 to the end face and a cutting edge 5 formed of a cutout part of a cutting groove face having the end face of the tool. The helical angle measured in regard to the flat surface including an axial line 7 of the tool of the cutting groove of the tool is greater than the angle measured in regard to the flat surface corresponding to the cutting face abutting on the end face cutting edge 5 and formed on the lower end part of the cutting groove. The cutting face angle starts from the end face cutting edge 4 and changes continuously to the helical angle of the cutting groove.
