PURPOSE: To provide a drill positioning and guiding device positioning and guiding a drill without hachures of a fiber in boring a hole in an aircraft FRP plate by a hand drill.
CONSTITUTION: A positioning and guiding device 20 has upper and lower arms 21 and 22 nipping a FRP plate P. A bush 26 thereon a guide hole 27 is formed is provided on the upper arm 21, and an escape hole for escaping a drill and a rest body 31 for resting the FRP plate are provided on the lower arm 22. A positioning pin 35 to be inserted in a lower hole E formed on the FRP plate is retractably housed in the rest body. The centers of the guide groove 27 and the escape hole and the axis of the positioning pin are conformed each other. The drill is guided to the guide hole 27 to bore a hole in a given position of the FRP plate. The hachures of a fiber are not produced in the periphery of an entrance because the periphery of the entrance of the hole is nipped by the periphery of the guide hole 27 and the escape hole.
