Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drill suitable for use in high efficient working.SOLUTION: Chip discharge grooves 2 are formed in an outer periphery of a tip of a drill body 1 which is rotated around an axis O, the tip of the drill body 1 is provided with a cutting blade, and a wall surface 2A of each of the chip discharge grooves 2, oriented in a direction of rotation of a drill is formed in a concave curve shape along a first circular arc C1 in a cross section orthogonal to the axis O. A bottom surface 2C of each of the chip discharge grooves 2 which is continuous with the wall surface 2A and is oriented to the outer peripheral side of the drill body 1 is formed in a concave curve shape along a second circular arc C2, which is circumscribed with a core diameter circle E of the tip of the drill body 1, in a cross section orthogonal to the axis O, the first circular arc C1 has a radius larger than that of the second circular arc C2, and contacts the second circular arc C2 on a more leading edge 1A side than a contact point P between the second circular arc C2 and the core diameter circle E.
