Abstract:
To provide a drilling boom having a feed beam assembly with multiple joints that allows positioning of a rock drilling machine to a planned drilling location.SOLUTION: A drilling boom comprises a basic boom portion BB with a front joint assembly 8 of a wrist portion at a distal end. The wrist portion connects a feed beam assembly FBA to the basic boom portion. The wrist portion has three joints: a rollover joint 15, a feed tilt joint 16, and a feed swing joint 17. An order of the joints of the wrist portion is optimal when the joints are in the order described above. A rock drilling rig comprises one or more such drilling booms comprising face drilling units or bolting heads.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
