Title:
DRILLING DEVICE HAVING RADIALLY DISPLACEABLE DRILL SHANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2749532
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the service life of a drill bit by supporting a drill bit chuck and/or a plate with radially resilient support members.
CONSTITUTION: A drill bit 4 is lowered toward a plate 10 in the arrow direction 9 for drilling. The plate 10 is a decorative plate mounted on a vibrating table 11. The vibrating table 11 is supported by radially resilient support members 12 and is vibrated in the horizontal direction by an unbalanced motor 13 serving as a vibrating device. During the manufacture of the cylinder portion 14 of a hole 15, a relative motion in the radial direction is made between the plate 10 and a drill head 5, thus a high polishing speed or grinding speed is attained at the center of the grinding face 6 of the drill head 5. When the vibrating device is used to generate this relative motion, the vibrating device is used at least during the manufacture of the cylinder portion 14.
