To provide a drilling method which simplifies and facilitates the pinching/holding work of an original sheet and the stripping work of a fixing tape and enables a thermosetting resin sheet to be repeatedly used as a lower pinching/holding sheet, without affecting the accuracy of drilling in the drilling method using a lubricant sheet as an upper pinching/holding sheet so as to restrain heat release from a drill bit during drilling, and the fixing adhesive tape to be used suitably for the same method.

The fixing adhesive tape has an adhesion layer comprising an adhesive composition of which adhesive strength is reduced due to hardening by ultraviolet irradiation. A laminate of the pinching/holding sheets and an original sheet for a printed wiring board is drilled in a fixed state, and the tape is stripped by ultraviolet irradiation after the drilling.
