The drinking detector for judging the drinking of a driver with high precision is constituted so that an alcohol detection part 11 is mounted on the human body so as to be directly brought into contact with the human body and the concentration of the alcohol in the sweat perspired from the skin of the mounting part of the alcohol detection part 11 is detected. Accordingly, drinking is judged at the start time of a vehicle or during driving without being restricted by the putting-on and pulling-off of a glove or a handle holding position. Further, since the mounting of the alcohol detection part 11 is judged by a mounting detection electrode 19 and a temperature sensor 21, the injustice due to the non-mounting of the alcohol detection part 11 is detected. Since the power transmitted from the transmitter 51 on the side of the vehicle only when the alcohol detection part 11 is provided in the vicinity of a driver's seat is received by the receiving means 49 of the alcohol detection part 11, it is judged that the alcohol detection part 11 is mounted on the driver if the power is received.
