Abstract:
To provide a drive apparatus which allows easy detection of a failed motor when driving the same shaft by two motors that are not driven individually.SOLUTION: A drive apparatus according to the present invention includes: a first motor for transmitting power to a drive shaft; a second motor for transmitting power to the drive shaft together with the first motor, the second motor having torque characteristics different from the first motor; an encoder for detecting the rotation state of the drive shaft; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the first and second motors. The control unit detects failed one of the first and second motors from an encoder output when control for starting the first and second motors simultaneously is performed using a plurality of start patterns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
