A drive apparatus 1 includes an electric motor 2 having a rotor 6, and a torque limiter 4 cutting off transmission of torgue of the electric motor 2 when the torgue of the electric motor 2 is equal to or greater than a predetermined value. The rotor 6 includes a rotor shaft 8, and a rotor body 9 arranged on an outer peripheral side of the rotor shaft 8. The torque limiter 4 is arranged on an outer peripheral side of a torque limiter shaft 14, and has a torque limiter body 15 having a friction material 19, and a torque limiter case 16 covering the torque limiter body 15. In a state in which the rotor body 9 is sandwiched by the torque limiter case 16 and an annular overhang portion 10 of the rotor shaft 8, the rotor shaft 8 and the torque limiter case 16 are fixed by a tightening nut 21.
