To provide a drive assist device preventing deterioration in steering feeling.
The drive assist device is loaded on a vehicle and prevents deviation of a driver's own vehicle from a lane when travelling. In the drive assist device, a result of white line recognition (a yaw angle, a curvature, and offset) acquired by image recognition processing is compared with an estimated result of white line recognition estimated from vehicle information, so that accuracy of the white line recognition by the image recognition processing is determined. When it is determined that the accuracy is out of the tolerance, the white line recognition result is corrected by using the estimated white line recognition result. Steering assist torque is generated based on the white line recognition result when it is determined that the accuracy is within the tolerance. The steering assist toque is generated based on the corrected white line recognition result when the accuracy is out of the tolerance.
