Title:
DRIVE OF CARD READER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0351239
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify positioning of a card by moving a chain by way of transmitting a progressive wave of a piezoelectric element to the chain by friction.

CONSTITUTION: When a card 33 is inserted, the card 33 is detected by a photo detector or a magnetic pressure detector, and voltage is applied in order to generate a progressive wave in the counterclockwise direction to a piezoelectric element 20 from an oscillator 30. As a chain 25 moves with a belt 26 by this progressive wave, the card 33 is conveyed with the belt 26, and when the front edge of the card 33 switches on a lead switch 27, the card 33 stops and the contents of the card 33 are read out. When voltage is applied so that the progressive wave in the counterclockwise direction is generated to the piezoelectric element 20 from an oscillator 31 by a readout completion signal after the readout of this card is carried out, the belt 26 moves with the chain 25 and conveys the card 33 to an insertion port, and the drive is finished.
