PURPOSE: To provide a drive circuit capable of maintaining a high accuracy for an original single-phase excitation stop position of a stepping motor by preventing the deviation of magnetic stability point during single-phase drive of a stepping motor to be used for OA equipment or AV equipment.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of phase excitation drive of a stepping motor 1 by transistor switches Tr1 to Tr4, a small current is applied to a coil at non- current applying side by transistors Tr10 to Tr40, magnetic flux is slightly generated, a magnetic flux leaked from an exciting coil at current applying side and passing a stator yoke at non-current applying side is canceled by said slight magnetic flux generated, and then deviation of stop position can be avoided.
