Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the numbers of components such as IC elements, transistors and output terminals of output ports by selectively controlling a current flowed to the exciting phases of stepping motors by a common circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the first stepping motor is driven, a signal for selecting the motor is output from the output terminal Z01 of the output port 11, a motor drive signal which has H and L levels is output from the output terminals XO, YO of the port 11 to sequentially conduct transistors 15a, 15b, 15c, 15d. As a result, exciting currents are supplied from a power source terminal 12 for the motor of a DC power source to the exciting phases A1, B1, C1, D1 of the first stepping motor, and the motor is rotated. When the motor is finished to drive, a control signal is output from the output terminal Z02, and the second stepping motor is driven.
