Abstract:

To provide a drive control apparatus and a drive control method capable of improving the following performance to an actual speed by reducing overshoot at the start of an object to be driven, and reducing variation in the speed of the object to be driven due to disturbance factors such as eccentricity of a motor shaft or cogging torque of the motor.

In controlling to accelerate a carriage 38 in a stopping state, a gain selecting section 144 extracts a first proportional gain from an internal memory 142, and outputs the gain to a PID output section 141. When the gain selecting section 144 receives a signal sig1 from a speed comparing section 145 during acceleration control, the gain selecting section 144 extracts a second proportional gain larger than the first proportional gain from the internal memory 142, and outputs the gain to the PID output section 141. The PID output section 141 generates a first control signal or a second control signal for controlling a CR motor 96 from the first or second proportional gain, an integral gain and a differential gain, and outputs the generated signals to a PWM generating section 125.
